I could use some advice on my intended wedding outfit. I’m getting married in July in upstate New York. I’m in grad school right now. So, I’m trying to keep the cost of my tuxedo, etc low and originally intended to rent my tuxedo. However, I planned on purchasing everything else. I felt that I wouldn’t be able to purchase a decent tuxedo without adding significantly to the cost and I hate the idea of wearing someone else’s shirt and shoes more than wearing a rented tux. So, should I buy the tux at Jos. A. Bank and take it to a really good tailor to make sure it fits perfectly? Or should I reallocate my budget of about $1000 to get a more expensive tux and if so, what brand and how should I change the accessories since I would have to spend in that area?
