The phenomenon of divorce is not only common in the western countries, Saudi Arabia is also increasingly picking up this trend.
Ihasn al Tayeb, the head of the Department of Social Affairs said that nearly all Saudi Couples who said ‘I Do’ in mass wedding ceremonies are getting divorced after sometime!
He said that there are many reasons, which can be associated with the break up of the Saudi marriages.
There is a major communication gap and lack of understanding amongst these couple as the mass wedding ceremonies hardly give them an opportunity to know each other properly prior to the wedding.
However, the root cause of all the problems is the experience of the first night of their wedding, which might have forced many couples unable to bear the bitter memories, thereby ending up in a split.
